our vision
We accept and encourage donations through the Bridge Community Foundation so we can continue to elevate the level of access, funding, education, and resources we provide to communities of color.
Our organization has made meaningful contributions to improving families' mental and physical health by bridging gaps in access to quality care. We focus on delivering tangible resources, including funding for birth and postpartum doula support, home birth midwifery support, and lactation/feeding support. By prioritizing preventative measures and culturally competent care, we help reduce maternal morbidity and mortality, while fostering a sense of community and empowerment among the families we serve.

Our goals *
-
We are dedicated to elevating the level of access available to communities of color, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to quality healthcare services, education, and support. By reducing barriers to access, we aim to improve maternal health outcomes for families in need.
-
We recognize the importance of working at the grassroots level to address the unique challenges faced by communities of color. Through community-based initiatives, we provide support that is tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of the families we serve.
-
We actively seek and allocate charitable assistance to support maternal health initiatives. By providing financial resources, we enable the implementation of programs that directly impact the well-being of mothers and other birthing people, and infants.
-
We believe that education is key to empowering families to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Through training and informational resources, we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to advocate for themselves and their families.
-
Our organization is committed to addressing the systemic disparities that contribute to unequal maternal health outcomes. We advocate for changes within the institution of healthcare, raise awareness of the issues, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster lasting change.
-
The Bridge Community Foundation recognizes the strength in collaboration. We actively seek partnerships with other organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to maximize our impact and create a united front against maternal health disparities.
-
We hold ourselves accountable for the impact of our actions. Through rigorous evaluation and data-driven approaches, we continuously assess our programs' effectiveness to ensure that we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of families we serve.
