What is the Bridge Community Foundation?

The Bridge Community is a beacon of hope, fostering positive change in the lives of families and communities of color through our 3 initiatives:

Access

Access is a key component to our mission. This includes: community funding. Our Community Fund provides access to experienced birth and postpartum doulas and home birth midwives.

Your donation could fund doula services for a BBIPOC family or contribute towards a homebirth for a group of parents-to-be with a midwife they trust. Your financial gift will directly benefit a family looking for funding and access to high-quality care.

Care

Nutritional support: Access to free traditional food systems for Black and Brown birthing people.

Postpartum bundles: Baskets of postpartum essentials provided to new parents to help with healing, recovery and beyond.

Education

Blood Pressure Early Detection Program:

We aim to provide more reproductive and sexual health education for folks planning to conceive, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum. Part of our mission is to provide blood pressure cuffs for all of our clients along with educational materials to focus on creating a solution around the health disparities in BBIPOC communities.
