Healing unmet healthcare
needs of families of color
The Bridge Community Foundation is a grassroots organization based in the Bronx, dedicated to addressing the unmet maternal healthcare needs of families of color in NYC by providing direct access to funding, resources, and support.
Our mission:
to dismantle barriers to maternal and child healthcare while centering the voices and needs of families of color in NYC and surrounding areas.
The Access Initiative connects Black and Brown families in NYC and surrounding areas to direct funding, trusted providers, and life-saving perinatal care through The Bridge Directory, eliminating barriers to maternal health services.
The Care Initiative delivers Pregnancy and Postpartum Care Boxes filled with essential items like blood pressure monitors, educational resources, and lovely restorative self care items to support families during this special time.
Our Community Impact Analytics Fellowship equips community-based organizations with support creating their own data systems, impact measurement tools, and funder-ready analytics to sustain and expand their work, empowering them to measure, strengthen, and scale their impact on maternal and child health equity.

“Having 33 hours of postpartum care provided the time and assistance needed to recover physically and emotionally, while adjusting to life with a newborn. Knowing someone will be there to guide me and assist with feeding, gave me the confidence to focus on bonding with my baby without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a gift that every new parent should have the privilege of experiencing!”
