Title: One Thing I Know
Text: John 9:1-41
Topic: The Formerly Blind and Those Who Refuse to See
Teacher: David Gooding
When we are put on the spot and pressed for an answer; what do we do? We trust in the things we know for certain; the things we can count on; the things we believe to be true.
When the man who was formally blinded was questioned repeatedly by the religious leaders about Jesus and about how he was healed, he went back to the only thing he knew for sure: “One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.”
Whatever he religious leaders wanted to believe (or even make up about Jesus or this blind man) this one fact they couldn’t deny. The question then, for them and for us, in light of this fact is, “Who do we believe Jesus is?”
