At The Bridge, we feel called to provide age appropriate teaching where young hearts and minds are turned toward a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. Our children’s ministry volunteers strive to be a living demonstration of the love of God for the children we serve. Our hope is that we will partner with God and with families to help our children experience all that God has for them.
During our Sunday morning worship gatherings, we provide ministry areas for nursery, pre-school, and elementary school aged children.
Birth through Age 2
At The Bridge, the nursery is far from being just a place for childcare. We are dedicated to showing children the love of God through Christ, so every chance we get to hold an infant, is a chance for us to teach that child that God is a loving, compassionate, and safe God. Every chance we have to play with a toddler, is a chance for use to help that child understand that will always be there to pick them back up when they fall down. No child is too young to begin learning how much God love them – and we want to help them learn.
[Pre-School] Ages 3 – 5
With our pre-school children, we focus on providing a lively, hands on environment where little hands have the opportunity to experience the gospel and the love of God first hand. Since little minds and little bottoms can’t stay in one place or on one topic for too long, we tailor our teaching and activities for short but effective segments. We are currently following a curriculum developed by Karyn Henley called Bible Time.
Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Elementary school age children are at a critical time in their spiritual development. We don’t want to miss the opportunity to help guide them into a life long relationship with Jesus Christ. In our KidSpace classroom we focus on presenting the gospel in a practical ways, ways that are geared toward helping our children to navigate life in the real world, not just the Sunday school world. We are currently using the Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum.
